Default Favorite shield stats?

Talk about what stats you like to look for on your shields. Personally, I'm not sure whether I'd prefer a -2(in stance)/-2(when enchanted) or a -2(in stance)/-3(while hexed). Which do would you prefer in PvE? Or do you like to go with heal bonuses or condition duration reduction?

I like 30/-5 because it's easy to get, cheap, and it's the lazyman's best friend. No condition involved, just chance.

I use a bunchof shields when i play on my tank. When farming with stances obviously a +45 /-2 in stance. When running with enchants i use +45/-2 while enchanted (also use this on my ranger) and for generic purposes i use the + 30/-5.

most of the time I use +45/-2 while enchanted, but I always have my stance and 30/+5(20) for flexibility.

I like +30hp always, +10 ar Vs (whatever), any serious warrior has a collection of them.

I used to have a decent collection of them when max was +8 Vs but sold them to raise money for monk FoW ^^

30/-2(stance) mainly because most of my builds has an IAS stance included.

But the other stats are useful, because there are times when you'll need them over others.

I prefer an unconditional +30hp so your health doesn't drop when a stance/enchantment ends. Besides that, I like -5/20% or -2 stance the best. The armor versus damage type shields can be nice, but they're a little limited.

I don't like -2 (stance), -2 (enchanted) or -5 (20%) mods because: a)they're conditional/chance and b)they're only defensive against physical damage which my warrior's armour is already resistent to. I like -blind(20%), -weakness(20%) and -crippled(20%) accompanied by +30 health.

The thing with the reduced conditions is you'll probably get them removed much faster by your monk than they would wear off even with -20% duration. If it was -50% duration or -20% duration for all conditions I might give it more consideration, but as they are right now I don't see them as being very useful.

I agree. I think its fair to say that all shield 'secondary' mods are pretty weak especially after the update when reductions were limited to physical only.

I'm trying to build a -10 Vs slash, +30HP shield. Already ahve full contingent of dual reduction shields. +10 vs slash seems verrry useful.

Reduction mods are excellent in skirmish situations where you don't have reliable condition removal. And since the damage reduction has been altered they're still rather strong. Well, reduces blind anyway. Reduces cripple isn't bad either.

Again though, these things are far better in splits than in an 8v8 confrontation. However, considering how condition removal light pug monks generally are it would've been an assist, fortunately my hero monks are far better than any pve monk I've encountered.

45/-2 stanced

A serious warrior would not forget an IAS or defensive stance, and THAT is the time you need this shield.
